program, Seaborg tells of his research in changing the face of the Periodic Table. He shows you how the Periodic
Table has been developed, step by step, from its first design by Mendeleev to the present controversies over the
latest elements in the table, 106 and beyond. The second portion of this program provides a rare opportunity to
share with a great scientist his questioning, uncertainties, thoughts, and memories in his search to unravel some of
the mysteries of the Periodic Table. You will learn the story of his announcement to the world of the identification
and naming of the elements 95 and 96. He relates how many of the newly identified elements got their names. You
will gain insights into a great scientist's observations of the frontiers of science.
