This is definitely COOL CHEMISTRY! A unique kit where you use your T-shirt as the ice cream machine. It’s a totally new way to churn your favorite flavors into a yummy ice cream treat. Kids wrap up the ingredients in a plastic bag, put it in a T-shirt and twirl madly! They love mixing the colors and flavors while inventing their own secret recipes. Science experiments investigate why rock salt is used in making ice cream (to create super cooled water), how the size of ice crystals makes ice cream gritty or smooth, and how air adds fluff to the mixture. A major winner - even for those kids who think they hate science. Ages 9 and up with adult supervision.

This exciting new science kit is based on the nationally acclaimed Great Explorations in Math & Science (GEMS) program pioneered at UC Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science.

Contents: Vanilla flavor, strawberry flavor, cocoa powder and rainbow sprinkles, plastic containers for mixing ice cream, fancy ice cream dish, measuring spoon, pipettes, stirrer, and instruction booklet with related science experiments.
